There is only one first. One first impression, one first time being introduced to the KLD Youth Foundation, and one first time finishing Gran Fondo Brevard.
We at IRO, Inc., are honored to welcome each of you into our inaugural group, the start of our collective movement, to make the community better by empowering the lives of our fellow humans through your efforts on our course. Congrats to each of you for overcoming your individual challenges…if it’s climbing over a causeway, or putting your head down and pedaling when you have another 40+ miles to go, or managing rain, wind, and heat, your efforts have set an example of how a sport can bring people together, of different athletic levels, from all walks of life, to rally around a noble cause that will pay it forward to generations to come.
We hope you had a good time riding while witnessing our commitment to the KLD, first hand. The effort we put forward for Gran Fondo Brevard 2012 has only strengthened our resolve to take all recommendations seriously to make our event even better for 2013. Look for some new initiatives to bolster the overall ride experience for all levels - a revamped atmosphere upon return with an even more diverse Expo and even more food options. –I’m getting excited just thinking about it! And I’m even more excited to get a chance to share how the KLD Youth Foundation will have progressed throughout the year.

- Our Saturday, March 24th, 2012 Pasta Dinner and Rider Meeting has been opened to all family members. If you are bringing family to the area, please have them join you for the pre-event festivities. *Non-registered riders are charged $12/ per person for this plentiful buffet style dinner

Join us for a special limited access event with Kevin Livingston, Ivan Dominguez, and Rahsaan Bahati. Experience a closed-door, panel discussion with our honored guests where you can ask questions, get some training and riding tips, and hear about their new projects coming soon!
Then we ride! A ~50 mile leg spin at a controlled speed where you can interact with these riders as we all get ready for the Gran Fondo Brevard the next day. Return from the ride with food and drink waiting! Head over to packet pickup at Infinity Bike Shop…then get ready for the evening, pre-Fondo dinner and rider’s meeting. Yes, riding on Sunday will burn lots of calories, and we’re happy to do our part to help you fuel up.
This event is limited to the first 50 who sign up!

Kevin Livingston
Kevin Livingston, is a 6 time Tour de France finisher, former US National Cycling Champion, and elite cycling coach with a strong presence in pro and youth cycling.
Kevin offers a Pro-Tour pedigree matched by very few in the US. Kevin can coach at many levels, but at all levels he is a committed partner and fully supports his clients towards their cycling goals. Kevin has worked with many different coaches, sports physicians, physical therapists, sports nutritionists, and chiropractors, learning many of today's most advanced techniques to help his athletes achieve their potential. Ivan Dominguez
Ivan Dominguez, former USA Crits World Criterium Champion, and stage winner in the Tour of California, two-time stage winner at the Tour of Missouri and stage winner at the Tour of Georgia has joined the movement to support Grand Fondo Brevard.
We are happy to have Ivan help reach out to our local and national community and show all KLD youth how hard work pays off! Welcome aboard Ivan, we cant wait to see you and have you interact with the kids and have you interact with our Fondo ridership!
Rahsaan Bahati
Rahsaan Bahati, Pro Cyclist, former USPRO Criterium National Champion, and founder of the Bahati Foundation will be joining us for Gran Fondo Brevard on March 25th, 2012! We are thrilled to have Rahsaan take up the call to raise money for the KLD.
The Bahati Foundation's mission: "...to support inner city youth in under-served communities through inspirational speaking engagements and cycling outreach programs. These are designed to motivate and empower kids toward higher achievement in education, music and sports." -We believe there is huge, mutual benefit potential between the KLD and the Bahati Foundation and are thrilled to explore such opportunities!
